The position
As our new Project Manager you will become part of our Scandinavian Project Management department and work together with likeminded, dedicated, and skilled colleagues with various backgrounds and competences.
The Project Manager is responsible along the full project lifecycle for the management and execution of various projects supporting our growth and efficiency strategy. This role includes the following responsibilities:
The main responsibilities for you and your team are:
- Ensuring the successful delivery of projects from new product development to organizational change initiatives by planning, leading, and controlling individual projects
- Management of organizational interfaces between the project team and the respected stakeholders, e.g. the management team, suppliers, cross functions, etc.
- Supporting the creation and maintenance of a business case, and controlling the delivery of key milestones and KPIs
- Preparation and execution of project reporting and communication in alignment with the project goals
- Estimation and management of project resources incl. costs and capabilities
- Ensuring the quality and compliance of the execution respected projects and its deliverables as well as necessary project documentation
- Challenging the project team to cover all necessary scope and its relevant dependencies (e.g. IT-Integration, legal requirements, etc.)
The Project Manager works closely with the Project Management Office, Subject Matter Expert (SME), other cross-functional team members and third parties to align all efforts and deliveries with overall project goals and objectives. The Project Manager serves as a single point of contact for project-related activities.
Skills & Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess the following:
- Proven experience in project management, including planning, controlling, and execution management
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities to manage multiple project components simultaneously.
- Excellent communication, moderation and presentation as well as interpersonal skills for effective stakeholder engagement, collaboration and teambuilding.
- Knowledge of problem solving methodologies, as design thinking or human-centered design
- Profound training and experience in using various project management mythologies (e.g. PMI, IPMA, Prince2, etc.)
- Profound training and experience in agile methodologies (SCRUM, Kanban, SAFe, etc.)
- Knowledge and experience in creating, controlling, and managing business cases and financial KPI
- Proficiency in the use project management software and tools for scheduling, e.g. MS project, JIRA, Planner, etc.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities to address project challenges and risks combined with a high level of solution orientation.
- Excellent Danish and English speaking skills; Norwegian, Swedish or German is an advantage
Education & Experience
- 3-5 years of experience in project management
- Experience in managing projects within insurance or financial sector is an advantage
